The best lawns start with the best materials and careful
preparation. We use only top quality composted topsoil made
locally. Unlike the more common screened field loam, our product
contains higher organic matter that resists compaction and
provides superior nutrient availability. Also, since the soil is
“cooked” during the composting process, weed seeds are nearly
eliminated. This means that your new lawn will grow grass, not
crabgrass and weeds!
Our new lawns are prepared carefully, using power rakes in
addition to fine hand raking so that the surface is smooth, clean,
free of compaction and ready for seed. All hydro seed is not the
same! We use the heavier wood mulch products that protect the
grass seed and hold more moisture and won’t dissolve in the rain
like paper mulch . Our grass seed combines Perennial Rye,
Bluegrass and Creeping Red Fescue to produce perfect lush green
turf in both full sun and shady areas.
Note: Follow up fertilizing is highly recommended and necessary
for the best and fastest lawn results! After 3 weeks a high
Phosphorous fertilizer should be applied to strengthen root
systems and provide nutrients that will be lacking at that time.
